On the other hand, from the same mathematical point of view the brain and the inner world of a human is such a complex system that can’t match a mathematical body, even if all data is available. The phrase “even if all data is available” is a bolder presumption then the presence of any such mathematical body. Alas, modelling a human is a faraway future challenge. Maybe then the answer will be given if it’s possible at all. Thus making the picture of the human mind always means the controversy of the two paradigms. On the one hand, there’s a temptation to simplify the picture extremely. In other words, to describe the same process of the addiction genesis with the help of the most elementary processes, for example, with the help of the alliesthesia or with the help of the dependence of alcohol consumption on the body immediate reaction to the consumption. The brightest example can be found about cigarettes, not ethanol. We get pleasure when the cigarette smoke irritates the mouth receptor before the nicotine arrives into the bloodstream. Similar reactions occur with urges to drink. Actually we can perplex the picture a little violating the concept logic, but still remaining within its framework. An alcoholic wakes up in the morning from an acute desire to “freshen the nip”. The first stage of this process is quite painful and can be characterized by a sharp increase of panic. However, once the money is found and the plan to buy a drink is made, the person relaxes gradually, even before getting the desired fuel. We even can agree that the withdrawal syndrome goes away by and by at the moment the desired drink is fetched and the thought how to consume it with nothing and nobody around as an obstacle is fully shaped in the head.
