The clinical psychology and culture is a quite unexpected sphere for me. According to a philosophical viewpoint, there are two types of research-based knowledge. So-called natural sciences keep to the following position: “What is true in Sydney must be true in Shanghai, Singapore or elsewhere in the world”. From the other hand, arts or humanities tend to be bound to local and national conditions, without which they either lose their sense of existence or this sense gets seriously deteriorated. Intuitively, everything about the medicine is associated with sciences. Maybe, it’s really so in most of its branches. But, as regards healing a human soul the medicine feels tight in the framework of sciences
In conclusion, anxiety may trigger alcohol consumption. Alternatively, alcohol intake may also cause the development of anxiety symptoms. Indeed, clinical observations show that increased quantities of alcohol consumed per drinking session are associated with in- creased symptoms of anxiety in the sober state (75), and withdrawal from alcohol, which can be conceptualized as a rebound phenomenon of the CNS from recent alcohol consumption, has been shown to be anxiogenic in both humans (406) and in rats (196).
